Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future Welcomes Former Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale to Leadership Council
[Pittsburgh, PA] — Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future today announced that Eugene DePasquale, former Pennsylvania Auditor General, will serve as Pennsylvania state chairman for Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future. Natural Allies is a coalition of labor and energy advocates advancing a bipartisan approach to energy policy, recognizing that climate, reliability and affordability are all connected.
DePasquale brings decades of experience in government oversight, economic development, and workforce-focused policy leadership—expertise that aligns directly with Natural Allies’ mission to advance practical, commonsense energy solutions that strengthen local economies while lowering emissions.
“Pennsylvania’s energy future depends on collaboration and smart investments that keep our economy strong and our communities thriving,” said Eugene DePasquale. “Natural gas—working alongside renewables and nuclear—plays a crucial role in ensuring that future. I’m proud to join Natural Allies to help advance policies that create good-paying jobs, lower emissions, and keep Pennsylvania at the forefront of America’s clean energy transformation.”
DePasquale’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment for Pennsylvania’s energy sector. As one of the nation’s top natural gas producers, the Commonwealth is uniquely positioned to support the country’s clean-energy transition, and Natural Allies supports strategies that maintain reliability, boost innovation, and protect working families.
“Natural Allies was built to bring labor, business, and community leaders together around achievable energy solutions,” said Michael Nutter, Leadership Council Co-Chair of Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future and former Mayor of the City of Philadelphia. “Eugene DePasquale’s commitment to collaboration and responsible energy policy makes him an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”
“Eugene DePasquale’s record of leadership and integrity makes him an exceptional addition to our team,” said Susan Waller, Executive Director of Natural Allies for Clean Energy. “His voice will be invaluable as we continue bringing together labor, business, and community leaders to champion balanced, achievable energy solutions.”
Under DePasquale’s leadership, Natural Allies will continue expanding partnerships in Pennsylvania across business, labor, and government to advance infrastructure investments, workforce training programs, and policies that balance economic strength with environmental responsibility.
DePasquale will help guide Natural Allies’ efforts to build broad coalitions that support infrastructure investment, workforce development, and market-driven emissions reductions across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic.
