Natural Allies Statement on Conclusion of the 2026 Virginia Legislative Session
Washington, D.C. — Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future (Natural Allies) Executive Director Susan Waller issued the following statement on the conclusion of the 2026 Virginia legislative session:
“Recognizing affordability as a top concern for people across the Commonwealth, the General Assembly took meaningful steps forward to lower costs. However, when it comes to energy prices, Virginia lawmakers didn’t go far enough to bring down electric bills.
“When legislators return next year, they must prioritize policies that expand the Commonwealth’s natural gas capacity alongside renewable energy development. Embracing an all-of-the-above approach with renewables and natural gas working together is the surest path forward to achieving an affordable and reliable clean energy future.”
