New York, NY (November 4, 2026) – Natural Allies Co-Chairs Robert Duffy and Ruben Diaz Jr. released the following statement reacting to the Midterm results.

“Governor Hochul’s overwhelming victory is an affirmation of her commitment to tackle affordability issues for all New Yorkers, including sky high electric bills.

We stand ready to support her “all-of-the-above” approach to solving this crisis, which must include building more power generation here in New York with permit and regulatory reforms to make it happen quickly and efficiently. Natural gas has to be part of this solution, along with renewable energy, battery storage, and a host of other measures.

We congratulate the Governor and all the candidates elected to the state Legislature on their victories and thank those who lost for participating in our democracy.”
